Word Sleuth Book Coaching:
Do you have a book idea that’s been needling you for years, but you’re not sure how to begin, what the process of writing a book will look like, or what you’ll do with it once finished?
Or
Are you mid-process and having trouble staying committed? Perhaps you don’t like writers’ groups, have exhausted the goodwill of your partner or friends, and need some structure or a professional to be accountable to.
Or
Do you just want a creative partner in the writing process? Somebody to bounce ideas off, to go over the nitty-gritty details of the manuscript with, who can contribute creative, constructive ideas of their own.
I work with writers of both fiction and non-fiction, including memoirs.
Word Sleuth book coaching is a bespoke service, but to get a feel for how it shakes down, have a look below at some sample packages.
Case one: This basic package includes a bi-monthly 60-minute video/phone call; weekly email support, and a commitment to read up to and comment on 20,000 words of text. At $395 dollars/month, it will keep you honest.
Ideal for writers who don’t have much time to commit to everyday writing, and want to take some months with their project.
Minimum 1-month commitment.
Case two: With weekly writing deadlines, followed by a scheduled video/phone call, this is a bit more intensive. You can submit up to 10,000 words a week, and we will discuss the writing and direction of the book in an hour-long conversation (up to 4 per month). To take on this case, I charge $595/month.
Ideal for writers who have direction, and a solid idea of the project they want to get written.
We can also put together a bespoke package, depending on your needs.
Minimum 1-month commitment.

FAQs
-
It all begins with a phone call. Or video chat. We talk over what you’ve already accomplished on the page, and what you hope to accomplish. I’ll get to know how you work, and we can set our expectations accordingly.
-
It depends on how you value your time. If you’ve spent years writing something you’re unsure of, that’s seen nothing but rejection. That’s time you’ll never get back, and the prospect of spending some money to have somebody keep you on the right path, writing what you’ve set out to write, may seem inexpensive in comparison.
-
Nope. No matter what my involvement, it’s your book, with your name on the cover. You won’t owe me royalties or even thanks.

I have ghostwritten clients’ projects. If it’s a good fit, I’ll consider the prospect. Just get in touch.
